Centro Tecnológico Vidres SL, through the CDTI, receives co-financing from the European Union through ERDF funds 2021-2027.

On 22/03/2024, Centro Tecnológico Vidres, SL received notification of the award of a partially repayable grant from the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation, which will co-finance part of CTV's R&D&I activity. The details of the proposed co-financing are as follows:

Granting entity: Centre for Technological Development and Innovation.

Project: New Low Carbon Footprint Ceramic Glazes Using Cold-Obtained Frits (FRI2).

Programme: Cervera Technology Transfer Research and Development Project, within the thematic area of Advanced Materials.

Objective: To obtain frits and glazes for ceramic tiles using low-temperature processes, characterised by a reduced carbon footprint. The project aims to replace the current method of obtaining frits through the fusion of raw materials in high-temperature kilns, at around 1500ºC, with new chemical activation processes through the ‘cold’ generation of inorganic polymers, requiring temperatures below 150ºC.

Collaborating Research Centre: Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC).
